Talk about a sticky situation.
On Tuesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Kyra Sedgwick revealed that her husband, Kevin Bacon, gave her an “agonizing” at-home bikini wax while the couple sheltered in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It became clear at one point to me and to both of us that I needed a bikini line wax,” the 55-year-old actress recalled. “Part of me was like, ‘How hard can it be?’”
After she purchased a kit online, microwaved the wax and “assumed the position,” she decided to enlist her husband’s help with the intimate task.
“Kevin is like, incredibly handy,” she said. “I mean, he’s really good at a lot of things. He’s a good cook and he knows how to fix stuff.”
However, the Hollywood couple soon realized that waxing isn’t the 62-year-old “Footloose” star’s forte.
“I’m not saying it was a disaster, but the fact that we did not have to go to the emergency room was just an absolute miracle,” she said. “There were moments where I was like, ‘I thought you knew how to do this!’ … And he was like, ‘I didn’t say I knew how to do this. You said I knew how to do this!'”
When Sedgwick told her husband that he was “good at everything,” he replied, “well, I’m not good at this.”
Despite the waxing fiasco, Sedgwick assured Kimmel that she and her husband of over 30 years are staying strong.
“I come downstairs during this COVID time and I’m like, ‘How did you sleep? How’s your morning been so far?’ And I really care. I really want to know, which is surprising,” she said.
